Meet Barb Walker, The Computer Lady
(Patience is my middle name)
I started using computers in 1978 and it has been an ongoing process, one little step at a time. That's how I encourage you to learn - one baby step at a time. No one masters computers overnight!
My background:
- 15 years as a secretary in the corporate world
- Owned a secretarial service for 10 years (learned lots about computers)
- Computer trainer at MicroCenter in Denver, Colorado
- National trainer with CareerTrack
- In 2007 I self published Taming Your Computer – The Simple Basics and Beyond
When I think about it, I've been teaching all my life. It never occurred to me that someday I would make my living as a computer trainer.
And for fun....
My husband Ken and I love to spend time with our family, especially our three grandkids, ages 3 to 15 years. It's our
way of slowing down and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. We are so blessed to have both of our kids and their families in
the Denver area. I recently retired from my computer training business and enjoy spending my time "digging up my ancestors"
through genealogy research.

We also enjoy staying at bed & breakfasts. With our hectic lives, it's such a pleasure to go somewhere special and enjoy being waited on in a beautiful, quiet environment.
